Ms. Canavan is a co-founder and Partner of MVP, an investment boutique with offices in Orlando, Florida. MVP provides capital and management expertise to select opportunities within focus areas, including material science, photonics, and semiconductor technology. Ms. Canavan has extensive experience in business development with both commercial and government organizations, including Department of Energy, Department of Defense (DARPA, US Air Force, US Navy, and US Army), Department of Commerce/Economic Development Administration and the National Institutes of Health, for the advancement of disruptive high technologies. As a co-founder of the successful technology start-up, Raydiance, Inc., Anastasia was jointly responsible for business plan development for the company, as well as overall business development. Raydiance was developed from technology out of the University of Central Florida/College of Optics and DARPA. In 2008 DARPA sited Raydiance as one of the ten most disruptive technologies of the decade. After leaving Raydiance, Anastasia led the international business development strategy and provided operation leadership for a therapeutic laser applications company. This mainly focused on developing and executing a web based communication and educational system of the technology and business strategies for the international market. Ms. Canavan received a B.S. in Political Science – International Relations at the University of Central Florida in 2003.
